Permit Information
Application for a building permit should be made at least 48 hours in advance of starting the work. Contact Fruitland City Hall (410-548-2809) for more information required for the issuance of a permit. Stakes should be in place (or area marked) when making application for a permit for new structures or additions so that the building inspector can check setbacks prior to any work being done. Work described in any building permit must begin within 90 days from the date of issuance or said permit shall expire. If the work described in any building permit has not been substantially completed within one year of the date of issuance, said permit will expire and be canceled. Another permit must then be obtained.

Indicate setbacks from all lot lines and from other structures on lot. The owner/contractor is responsible for meeting minimal setback requirements. Refer to Fruitland's zoning ordinance for property district regulations.
